I filmed this a couple of years ago when Bazan was doing a few solo west coast tours. I still think some of the best Bazan moments are the times when it’s just him and a guitar.
Here are a few selective tracks from Big Spider’s Back, filmed by those dudes over at Filmed in Stereo. The first tune is a little fun cover of Panda Bear’s I’m Not followed by a couple of his own amazing tracks: Warped and Don’t Make Me Laugh, check it!

Nurses, one of my favorite bands right now. This was shot about a month ago at this cool looking barn in downtown oakland right before their show. A piano was just sitting in the corner of the yard and we were like, “why not?” So this is a short document of a little thing we were able to do with the materials around us. Enjoy and share!
ahhhhhhh Au! I love this band. First heard about them through Chryde, some good stuff coming out of Portland, look for the Nurses vid, it’s coming out soon

BEST COAST
summer love, summer fun
The first and hopefully a series of musician videos on the road talking about and playing music. The idea is very simple: catching a moment in a musician’s journey while asking ourselves about our own thing (whatever that thing may be).

This was shot last year right at the beginning of spring in SF. Casey was kind enough to let us tag along her short journey through the Panhandle area during a lazy Saturday afternoon.
These two songs have been sitting on my hard drive far too long, perhaps this would be a good time to release them (btw she’ll have a few shows in the bay area later this week. Definitely check her music out...
inspired by an earlier visit to sfmoma. robert frank americans’ exhibit is amazing, will need to revisit again.
After a crazy european tour, Girls return home to play some new material at the Hemlock in San Francisco over the weekend. They opened their set with a rendition of an amazing new Cass McCombs song ‘Dreams Come True Girl’. Check it out.
